Hello!
Wow! I have already gotten behind on my posts! Here are some recent shots I have taken at work at the BC Forest Discovery Centre. Our 101 year old steam locomotive is now out for the rest of the summer season - I should hopefully have some some great steam shots soon!

Welcome!
This is the blog for MEC Photography - a photography collection by Marcie Callewaert.
Marcie is a student at the University of Victoria where she is studying to become an Art and English secondary school teacher. I guess I can start saying "I" now, because I am trying to make this personal.. this is a blog about me and what I experience as I take my photos.
My photography can be seen on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/MECPhotography) and at http://mecphotography.paradepro.com/
I have two upcoming gallery shows in September 2011. One is at the Nemeth Gallery in Parksville, BC. It is located at 133 McMillan St. There will be about 10-16 photos on display and up for sale at this showing. The other showing will be at the Oak Bay Marina Coffee Shop on Beach Drive, just south east of Victoria, BC. There will be 5 photos on display and up for sale at this showing.
I am just growing into my shoes as a photographer and hope to continue making progress in my publicity and sales.
In the coming blogs I will feature photographs and my travels as I continue to grow as a photographer and a person.
